This map is for dreaming and story-telling. It is not a nautical chart and is not intended for navigation.
Materials

All maps are printed with giclée techniques using fade resistant, archival inks on 240gsm, satin photo paper with a resin coating. The result is a crisp white base with vibrant colours.

All maps are rolled paper prints with a ~0.78" (2cm) white border that makes them ready to mat and frame.

Dimensions: 30x20 inches (77x51 cm) measured to the outside edge of paper.

When an order comes in your map goes into the print queue within 6 hours (gives us some time to correct any address issues). The maps are off the printer and in the mail within 2 to 5 days. Then it's usually 3-10 days for standard shipping.
I ship to Canada and the United States. In the future, I will ship internationally, but if you are desperate for a map send me a message and I can do a custom order for you.

Why I made this map

If you're a waterperson, you already know: Baja isn't just a destination, it's a pilgrimage.

My first big Baja trip was a surf trip, camping out of the back of a tiny pickup truck. The second time I sailed my boat there from Canada. VERY different adventures, both full of character building experiences, and a lot of sand and grit.

For most North Americans, Baja is a winter escape full of sun, sand, and tacos. But we dream about it all year. We research. We plan. We scheme. And nothing helps bring a dream to life quite like a beautiful map hung on your wall.

I made the map I wanted for telling stories of my trips south. The map that is coloured like the dry desert mountains and deep blue sea (and that looks so good with my photos). I made a map that inspires my friends to tell me their stories.

Armed with my Spanish phrase book I tromp around with my mediocre grammar, making friends. I swim with whale sharks in La Paz. Argue with welders in Ensenada. Negotiate for propane on the west coast. Dive with Golden Groupers in Cabo Pulmo.

It's not easy, but the best parts of Baja belong to those who are willing to work for it.
